                                                                                                                                                                            The West Newbury Summer Recreational Program is back for the Summer of 2026! The program is offered at the Page School for children who will be entering Grades 1-7. Older children who will be entering 8th & 9th grade and are interested in being a CIT may also apply to attend HERE. There will be six individual weekly sessions. The program will run from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm. Early drop off is available daily between 8:30 - 8:55, at $5/day or $20 for the entire week.                                                                                                             The West Newbury Summer Recreational C.I.T Program                    is returning with many fun activities planned for Summer 2026!                                    The Counselor-in-Training (C.I.T) program is offered to students entering grades 8 & 9.                                             The Summer Rec program is offered at the Page School for 6 weekly sessions. Full program details are available on the primary Summer Rec Program page HERE.Sessions & Dates:  dates are subject to change due to unforeseen snow daysSession 1: Monday June 22-Friday June 26Session 2: Monday June 29-Thursday July 2 *reduced weekly rate of $130*Session 3: Monday July 6-Friday July 10Session 4: Monday July 13-Friday July 17Session 5: Monday July 20-Friday July 24Session 6: Monday July 27-Friday July 31CIT Behavior Protocol: West Newbury has a ZERO TOLERANCE for BULLYING, inappropriate behavior or language, and cell phone use. As a CIT, you are expected to be engaged with your group, be flexible, and act as a role model. CIT's are expected to be kind, inclusive, safe and respectful to other participants, Rec CIT's and staff. If not, the below protocol will be followed: 1. Warning from a staff member2. Take a break/space3. Meet and talk with assistant director or director4. Phone call home to parent to come pick up5. If repeated, the child will be asked not to return to Summer Rec6. Certain behaviors are considered major infractions and may result in immediate dismissal for the day/week, without prior warningsCost:$160 per week with the exception of week 2, which has a reduced rate of $130 for the 4-day week. The program is offered at the Page School for children who will be entering Grades 1-7. Older children who will be entering 8th & 9th grade and are interested in being a CIT may also apply to attend HERE. There will be six individual weekly sessions. As a CIT, you are expected to be engaged with your group, be flexible, and act as a role model. CIT's are expected to be kind, inclusive, safe and respectful to other participants, Rec CIT's and staff. If not, the below protocol will be followed: 1. Warning from a staff member2. Take a break/space3. Meet and talk with assistant director or director4. Phone call home to parent to come pick up5. If repeated, the child will be asked not to return to Summer Rec6. Certain behaviors are considered major infractions and may result in immediate dismissal for the day/week, without prior warningsCost:$160 per week with the exception of week 2, which has a reduced rate of $130 for the 4-day week. Price includes a non-refundable $25 registration fee. A 50% deposit will be required at time of sign up to hold your spot(s). If you have not paid your despot, the participant is NOT registered. If for any reason an enrolled child cannot come for a week that they have already paid for, the registration fee will not be refunded. Full payment is due the MONDAY before the start of the next session. For example, full payment for the first session, June 22-June 26, is due on Monday, June 15. If payment is not received, your spot(s) will be forfeited. Price includes t-shirt and field trip.
